Don Hemmelgarn
President, ITI TranscenData
Don's responsibilities include managing the company's business operations and interests throughout North America, Europe, and Asia, and partnerships with major PLM providers including Siemens PLM, Dassault Systemes, and PTC. Since joining ITI in 1984, Don has been instrumental in ITI's transformation from a software development organization to the world's leading provider of product data interoperability solutions.
In addition to his duties at ITI TranscenData, Don serves as an Officer and Executive Committee member of the PDES Inc. Executive Board, and formerly served as a longstanding member of the board of directors for the US Product Data Association.
Dr. Geoffrey Butlin
Chairman and CEO, TranscenData Europe Limited
Dr. Butlin gained a BSc Civil Engineering from Birmingham University in 1963 and a PhD, from Cambridge University in 1966. From 1966 to 1978, Dr. Butlin held various academic research positions, including research fellow in Cambridge University Engineering Department, a visiting research worker in MIT and a visiting lecturer in SINTEF in Trondheim, Norway, pioneering, what today has become known as Computer Aided Engineering (CAE).
As the Assistant Director of Research in the Engineering Department of Leicester University, England, Dr. Butlin established foundation software for interactive graphics applications in engineering leading a 20 strong team researching geometry representation, computer graphics, data structuring and structural re-analysis.
In 1978 Dr. Butlin founded FEGS Limited where he developed and built a market for the FAM, Field Analysis Modeler software package and pioneered parallel FEA. In 1996 Dr. Butlin brought the CAD data exchange software product, CADfix, to market. In 1998 he sold FEGS to International TechneGroup Incorporated and has since been the Chairman and CEO for TranscenData Europe Limited.
Tom Makoski
Vice President, PLM Integration Business Unit
Tom started his career as a software engineer developing mechanical CAD (MCAD) translators for ITI. After a number of years, Tom joined SDRC as a project/product manager for several I-DEAS data management solutions. Tom has also enjoyed a short stint as an entrepreneur working with MCAD and ECAD vendors, and a select group of manufacturing organizations, to improve their ability to exchange key information between the ECAD and MCAD domains. Tom returned to ITI in May of 2000 to head up the Sales and Marketing effort for the newly formed TranscenData business. In his current role at ITI TranscenData, Tom manages the PLM Integration business unit, which encompasses the development and delivery of related implementation services for MCAD/PLM and PLM/ERP integrations.
Doug Cheney
Manager, CADIQ Product Development and Interoperability Consulting
Doug earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University after attending the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and serving an LDS mission to New York City. His career focus has always been CAD interoperability, starting with his Masters thesis on Multi-CAD Application Development. At Ford Powertrain he initiated CAD model quality research and led the PDES, Inc. STEP translator testing forum ("STEPnet") now called the CAX Implementers Forum.
Since joining ITI TranscenData, Doug has been a key contributor to CAD interoperability projects for most of ITI TranscenData's major customers in addition to organizations such as FIPER, PDES, Inc., ProSTEP, JAMA and OMG. Doug has been the driving force behind CADIQ since joining ITI in 1996. He enjoys working in various roles as a manager, developer and consultant to ensure the success of CADIQ development and deployment within customer environments. He is excited about the expanding functionality and customer base for this unique, multi-CAD product. Doug lives in Denver, Colorado, with his wife and four active children. He enjoys cycling, reading and community service in his spare time.
Keith Davidson
Manager, PLM Integration and Migration Programs
Keith has been involved in the CAD and PDM/PLM domains for more than twenty years. Keith began working at ITI in 1984 and has defined the vision and architecture for many of the foundation technologies that are used throughout TranscenData. He has also led the implementation of various data exchange translators, integration products, and related services across the CAD and PDM/PLM domains. His current focus is working with vendors and customers to integrate CAD, ERP, and other systems/data with PLM systems. Keith holds a BS in Computer Science from Miami University Ohio.
Mark Gammon
Manager, CADfix Product Development and Consulting
Coming from an Aerospace background Mark joined TranscenData Europe 14 years ago as a CADfix application engineer. Mark progressed from the application role through user interface design, core algorithm development and customization projects to become the CADfix product manager and development team leader, a role he has held for the last 8 years.
Mark also looks after TranscenData's involvement in UK and European research projects where CADfix and the CADfix development team have gained a reputation for innovation and breakthroughs in many key research areas of CAD-to-CAE interoperability. Mark is also the CADfix technical contact for several of TranscenData's key clients, often undertaking on-site consultancy and CADfix customization projects.
John Gray
Manager, DEXcenter Product Development and Delivery
John Gray has over 30 years experience in the CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM field. He started his career with Eastman Kodak in Rochester, NY where he supported and promoted use of MSC/NASTRAN in product development. John joined SDRC in 1978 and worked in many areas of developing technology and consulting. A major assignment was in providing worldwide technical management of the IBM partnership. John has been at ITI for 11 years where he has focused on interoperability projects and products. He is currently responsible for DEXcenter global collaboration solutions.
John received an BS in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio State University in 1973 and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1977.
Rendell Hughes
Manager, Product Data Technology Practice
With 25 years of experience in CAD/CAE/CAM/CAT integration programs, Rendell leads ITI Transcendata's product data technology practice. This practice is focused on leveraging client's investments in technologies, information and models to accelerate product development. Industry spends millions of dollars each year on large scale IT programs, most of which do not impact product development, especially in the early stages of engineering. Our goal is to leverage these investments and move a client forward quickly to achieve unprecedented levels of results.
Rendell's experience includes fourteen years in the aerospace industry with a focus on business development, program management, design and CAD integration. The last 11 years have been with ITI Transcendata as a product development manager, executive consultant and now practice manager. Rendell earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University with an emphasis on advanced stress analysis. Rendell also completed the Lockheed Executive Management Institute program at Emory University in Atlanta.
Stan Ochs
Manager, Vendor Business Unit and Legacy Data Migration Consulting
Mr. Ochs has been at ITI TranscenData for over 15 years. He has extensive project management experience in an entrepreneurial environment. He has been responsible for Business Unit Management as well as technical team leadership and is involved in daily product development and interoperability consulting projects.
He been involved in cutting edge product development for 3D CAD surface and solid topology and geometry technology in addition to CAD/CAM Interoperability application development. He has extensive experience in 2D drafting interoperability and often augments customer service and sales support activities.
Mr. Ochs currently manages the Vendor Business Unit at ITI, providing component-level translation tools to other software vendors and OEM customers. He also manages one of ITI TranscenData's CAD Data Interoperability teams, focusing mainly on legacy migration.
Stan earned a B.S. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1986 with a major in Mathematics and a concentration in Computing Science. |
