TranscenData has launched DEXcenter 5.3, the latest version of its web-based CAD collaboration solution that delivers round-the-clock support for secure data exchange across an extended enterprise in a multi-CAD PLM environment.

DEXcenter was developed by TranscenData to meet the growing need for reliable and secure data exchange within global collaborative engineering projects. Users need only a web browser and an authorized account to access the DEXcenter. A straightforward ‘drag and drop’ or file browser selection allows users to pick the required files, single or multiple recipients for the data are then selected, and DEXcenter takes it from there, performing automatic data translation and transmission based upon individual recipient profiles.

To ensure that accurate data is maintained at all times, DEXcenter, in conjunction with the CADIQ 3D model comparison software, will automatically verify that translated models match the originals, and furthermore, the intelligent translation workflow means that multiple translation methods can be performed and verified until acceptable results are obtained.
