PDElib Product Overview

PDElib is a comprehensive suite of software modules for developing translators and applications based on today's popular standards and/or direct translators between strategic products. It is the culmination of ITI Transcendata's many years of data exchange application development and consulting activities. PDElib serves as the foundation for translators offered by the leading CAD/CAM/CAE vendors, as well as internal data exchange applications for major manufacturing companies and ITI TranscenData internally developed software products.

Modular

PDElib is a comprehensive software development library for creating data exchange applications. It consists of two main parts: PDElib Core and PDElib Programming Interfaces.

PDElib Core contains common utilities and subsystems vital to all data exchange applications, including: memory management, model management, messaging, log file, and data structure utilities. The Core also features a powerful Geometry Conversion Engine for entity manipulation.

PDElib Programming Interfaces are available for IGES, STEP, VDAFS, DXF, DWG, ACIS, and Parasolid. Each interface may be purchased separately and is fully integrated with the PDElib Core. Interfaces provide file parsing and formatting, schema validation, data definition files and compilers, plus entity mappings to and from PDElib Core.

Flexible

PDElib offers a consistent and structured development environment, allowing multiple translators to be developed and maintained with minimal time and effort.
