CADfix V7.0 Service Pack 2.0 - Defeaturing and Bug Fixes

CADfix V7.0 Service Pack 2 contains a mixture of minor enhancements and over 100 bug fixes to the CADfix 7.0/SP1 release. The following tables list a selection of the most significant enhancements and bug fixes in the service pack.

Significant Enhancements to Import/Export:

  • IGES import now supports import of labels from assigned property entities (type 406) or from the 8 character directory section "Label" field.
  • ACIS export body checker level can now be user controlled.
  • SC03 export now contains tessellation data and units.
  • Flite/Centaur export creates better quality spline surfaces on badly parameterized NURBS surfaces.

Significant Enhancements to Model Simplification:

  • The "Delete feature" and "Delete fillets" tools have been significantly enhanced in the following areas: improved robustness, handles more complex cases and will now remove as much as possible before stopping.
  • New Join Bodies tool (initial release) joins touching bodies into a single body. For instance an exploded assembly can be joined into a single solid.
  • The Body splitter tool has been enhanced with more methods of defining a splitting plane and allowing partial or restricted splits.

Significant Enhancements to Assemblies:

  • New tool for finding and merging duplicate components in an assembly.
